3-D Ultrasound

We were lucky enough to have a 3-D ultrasound today.........thanks to Robin!! Our little bundle of joy is beautiful!!! (Don't all parents think that??) It was neat really getting to actually see a little face! It looks like the baby even smirked at us in one of the pics!! We also got a few more 2-D pics to add to the collection!! We've already outgrown our 1st album and need to get a bigger one! Thanks again Robin, you did a great job...........you're little "brother" or "sister-in-law" says thanks too!!

Grandparent's Day 2008

We had our 1st Grandparent's Day and it was great! We loved spending the afternoon with Emma. We were able to tour her classroom, we went to church together, and had refreshments. She made us a wonderful gift as well......a cute flower pot with her picture on it that she signed and a prayer card for Grandparents! We're looking forward to many more Grandparent's Days with all of the grandbabies!!

20 week ultrasound

We had our 20 week ultrasound yesterday........how disappointing! I felt like crying when we left. Once again this stubborn baby didn't cooperate!! we saw the baby's back (spine) and the back of the baby's head (the baby was face down). The good news is, the doctor said he could see what he needed to and he said everything looks good. We did get a couple more pics, none are very good though. The ones Robin did were much better!! We also videoed a portion of the ultrasound, so we do have that as well. The best part of the video was at the end....... the baby put its hands on its head and it looks like he/she is saying "leave me alone"!!

Baby Jacob's 1st Ultrasound

Today we had our 1st ultrasound. It went GREAT!! I was able to meet Robin at work so she could do the ultrasound, and 1 1/2 hrs later we got a whole photo album full of photos!! She did a really AWESOME job! As you can tell in the photos, no matter how hard she tried, the baby wouldn't open its legs...........good thing we didn't want to know what the sex is!! The baby crossed its legs, sat indian style, and had its knees together!! HA HA It was really cute! But we did get to see other important things with the baby......we saw the spine, stomach, kidneys, face, bladder, fingers & toes, the chambers of the heart, even where the cord is connected to the baby! Everything looks healthy and we couldn't be happier!!

Thanks Robin for doing such a great job with the ultrasound, it was a lot of fun, and I'm so greatful to get so many photos!

Baby News.....

Yes, it's true! The Jacob family is growing again! Jake & I have decided to have a baby. We're very excited to say we'll be having a little one around April 2009. Jimbo and Scooter are excited about being "Big Brother's" and are certain the baby is going to be a boy! We're just hoping for a healthy baby and are going to be surprised with the sex of Baby Jacob!

Things are going pretty good so far. I've had some pretty awful morning sickness (24/7) but I'm determined it's going to get better! Jake has been taking wonderful care of me.....bless his heart!! LOL

I'll be using this blog to post updates about our pregnancy and our family!
